JACK – Male, Age Range: 30 – 35 years old all ethnicities.

Jack is a handsome, young accountant with aspirations of leaving his job and

becoming a professional photographer. At the outset of the play, we learn that Jack has died tragically in a car accident and that his

heart was given to Joy to save her life. This role is very powerful in that Jack remains onstage for most of the show helping to weave

the story together for the audience. Jack speaks in flashbacks with his father and Joy. Must have local housing in CT.

SAMMY: (Female, Age Range 25 - 35. All ethnicities.)

Sammy is a preschool teacher and Jack’s younger sister. She’s somewhat

"new age-y" and relates well to her students because she is so young at heart. She wants to help bring happiness and

closure to her family after the loss of Jack in any way she can. Sammy writes a blog where she over-shares her life too much which

her father is not happy about. She gives in to her emotions easily, but of everyone in the story, she is the most in touch with them.

Must have local housing in CT.
